VR Fitness Gaming has been shown to improve mood and mental health, and in general, it provides numerous health benefits.

Virtual Reality is still very much new technology and it needs more research - but we do know that VR exercising has the potential to help millions of those who want to exercise but can’t seem to find the motivation, time or energy to get to the gym regularly.

“Findings favor VR exercise, as this small group of studies indicates improvements in mental health for those who had some mental disorders” Read More

Clearly much more research is needed in the area of VR and mental disorders to really help show the technologies’ true potential in this field, the team at Fit Reality is playing our small part to promote VR Fitness as a fitness and healthcare technology.

The is no question that VR Fitness applications can be an excellent and fun way to get your cardio and or aerobic to fix each and every day, and the studies on the benefits of VR exercising are still being researched the studies on the benefits of regular exercise is not being disputed as a clear solution for physical health and also for mental health.

Just like regular exercising and VR exercising stimulates chemicals in your brain that improve your mood, memory, and capacity to learn. Research indicates that no matter what mood you are in exercising has the potential to make you feel a whole lot better.

Additionally, VR exercises can help you get a better night’s sleep – which is beneficial to your mental health in so many different ways.

To be fair exercise, in general, is good for mental health – It might seem like VR exercising is simply piggybacking on tried and tested research. And it’s true but with one major caveat – exercise is hard, boring, not interesting for millions of people all over the world. And sadly, these tend to be the people who will have the most to gain by finding fifteen minutes a day to perform physical activities.

VR exercising can be an answer for these people, and even for children who rather play video games over outdoor activities.

In summary, Virtual reality and VR fitness are not going to heal the world of mental health issues but it is going to change the world for millions of people who need that extra support to change their life for the better.
